The communications engineering department is a prominent entity within the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tarbiat Modares University. This department currently enjoys the collaboration of 10 faculty members, including 4 full professors, 6 associate professors. There are currently 60 PhD students and 71 MSc students enrolled. The department has about 107 PhD alumni and 458 MSc alumni. The department covers two major research areas: electromagnetic fields and waves as well as communication systems. The department has established strong industrial connections with different major national companies like Iran Mobile Communications Company, Shiraz Electronic Industries, Iran Telecommunication Industries, Infrastructure Communications Company, Radio Regulatory Organization and MTN. The value of past and current contracts of the members of this group About 400 billion Rials will be collected.
